Description
Our Chinese Pink softneck garlic is an early-season treasure: gorgeous, round 2–2.5 inch bulbs wrapped in blush-pink and rose-striped skins that look almost too pretty to plant. Each head holds 10–14 plump, easy-peeling cloves with a bright, sweet-hot flavor that’s lively and fruity raw (think spring garlic with a gentle kick) and turns mellow and nutty when cooked. One of the earliest to harvest in Montrose (usually mid-to-late June), incredibly cold-hardy and bolt-resistant, perfect for zones 3–9, and stores a reliable 6–8 months in our dry climate. Plant these vibrant, disease-free beauties in fall and enjoy the first fresh garlic of summer; straight from garden to table in garlic bread, pestos, stir-fries, or simply rubbed raw on warm crusty bread.
