Description
Azureum (Allium caeruleum) is the electric-sky-blue allium that instantly gives florists and event planners a rare, true-blue pop at the height of late-spring weddings. From late May through mid-June in Montrose, these slender 20–28″ stems open into perfect 1.5–2″ cornflower-blue globes; hundreds of tiny star-shaped florets that look like they’ve been hand-painted in pure sapphire. The color is vivid, clean, and completely unique among spring cut flowers, with stems that are wiry-strong and vase life that easily hits 12–14 days. Azureum is the secret weapon for designers who need “something blue” that photographs like a dream, adds airy texture to mixed bouquets, or creates a floating cloud of blue when massed in low bowls or tall meadow-style arrangements.
